This unique collection is a combination of (14) trading cards, autographed photos and other ephemera that celebrates the American sports heroes of the 20th Century ca. 1947-1995 (approx. 3 x 5 in - 8x 10 in.). Jackie Wilson, the legendary African American boxer, was the NBA Featherweight World Champion of the world. This vintage exhibition photocard references Cleveland and is stamped made in the U.S.A. Also included is the legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson, the first black baseball player in Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Jackie Robinson’s autograph is on The Historical Museums of South Florida’s invitation “American Journey” and the program.  Also included is an autograph of Roberto Duran on the cover of the magazine Boxing Illustrated. Along with these legends is a black and white trading card of Manuel Ortiz, the World Bantamweight champion, who is considered to be one of the best fighters of our time. Other sports heroes are professional racquetball player Marty Hogan, basketball legend Moses Malone, movie star Sylvester Stallone from the film "Rocky IV", and Olympic gymnast Kurt Thomas . There is a wonderful group photo of Keven Grevy, Marty Hogan and Moses Malone and an autographed postcard of Jim Kelly of the Philadelphia Eagles, an autograph photo of Larry Christenson, a color autographed photo of Larry Bowa from Philadelphia Phillies and an autographs of golfers Ralph Branca and Bobby Thomson. There are a few pencil and pen markings. Everything is in good condition with normal wear and tear.
