Albert Greener 12 gauge double barrel exposed hammer side-by-side Damascus steel shotgun in very good plus to near fine original condition. The barrels shows “Albert Greener, Fine Laminated Damascus” which is hand engraved on the rib. There are no serial numbers but British proofs on the barrels and actions with marking “not for ball” beneath the barrels on the breech. The barrels show an extra fine pattern with most of their original tobacco brown which is at least 75% to 85% intact. The bores are in exceptional original condition and still bright. The action is nicely engraved with scrolls and hunting scenes with the name Albert Greener on each lock. The locks retain 30% to 50% original case hardening. The stocks are high quality checkered walnut and in very good plus to near fine original condition. The original grip cap and butt plate are retained. The stock measures 13 ¾” to the end of the original steel plate. The barrels measure 30” and are choked improved modified in both barrels. There are no problems with the barrels and the action is tight at the breech. Albert Greener was the son of W.W. Greener and his guns are somewhat uncommon as he was known to have immigrated to Australia and retired early from the British arms business. Est.: $600-$1200
