Adirondack .44 caliber rim-fire repeating rifle manufactured on O.M. Robinson patent with 2nd type frame and known as model 1872 (refer Flayderman 13 – 020). This rifle shows a 26 ½” octagon barrel with half magazine and remains in very good condition and is serial number 204 on the right edge of frame. The frame shows an un-cleaned mustard color patina. The stocks are good with a couple of age cracks and small losses around the tang, some light cleaning and normal aging. The barrel retains 50% to 70% blue turning to brown with scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting. The rear sight dovetail has been filled and a Winchester folding leaf rear sight added. There is a large blade sight also added in the correct front dovetail. The action is good and generally good overall. A major competitor to the Winchester rifle that was made in early frontier era. Est.: $3,000-$6,000.
