Adams patent revolver number 22862, approx. 11-1/2mm or .45 caliber, blue finish, checkered wood grips, agent marked “James Beattie 205 Regent St. London”. In its original case with label in lid. The revolver measures approx. 13” overall with 5-1/2” octagon barrel and remains in very good condition with 75-85% bright original blue, some even drifting and toning. Minor erosion and surface pitting. Some drifting on thecylinder to patina. The grips are very good, the markings are also crisp. There is an “L. A.” over “C” stamped in a shield on the right front lug beneath the barrel. The revolver shows a full complement of British proofsalong with side-mounted loading rod. The case is lined in purple velveteen and shows oak and brass screws and figures. A full Beattie label is in the lid showing British national crest, Regent St. address, and logo “everydescription of gun apparatus, also repository for genuine second hand guns and pistols by the finest makers” along with “maker of the improved percussion caps”. The interior of the case shows some slight fading, loosening
