A very fine example of a Tibetan chatelaine or belt ornament from Eastern Tibet. These were worn on a belt as a hanger for a sword, eating trousse, powder horn, etc. Made of chased and repousse silver and 18k gold. Set with a largeturquoise and retaining its original fabric strap. 19th century. Excellent condition, some wear and staining to old fabric strap. Measures 12”. Est.: $600-$700.
