A rare Bukharan dagger embellished with precious and semi-precious stones. Handle of walrus ivory and black horn, pommel covered with gilt silver plaques and embellished with faceted and natural precious stones. Scabbard made of chased andrepousse gilded silver with inlayed turquoise. Wootz Damascus steel blade. The presentation of these daggers was a privilege typically reserved to the Amir of Bukhara himself. Early 19th century. Excellent condition. Measures 15 ½”.Est.: $6,000-$8,000.
