(Disney, 1974) A very rare performer costume used in the 1974 production of Disney on Parade. The traveling arena show, created by Disney, NBC, and Nawal Productions, was a precursor to Disney on Ice and included acts based on “Pinocchio,” “Mary Poppins,” “Bedknobs and Broomsticks,” and more. This custom performer costume features mirrored buttons on a heavy black corduroy jacket with orange lining, a layered gray petticoat, and an orange sash. Made by Nawal Costume Shop, the sizing tags are missing, though the costume is 43.5” long, 24.5” wide at the shoulders, and 12” wide at the hips. This impressive piece is in very good condition with scratches and smudges on some of the buttons, stains on the sash, discoloration and fraying on the petticoat, and wear throughout from use.
