A North Indian ivory handled pesh kabz with a wootz Damascus steel blade. A long, narrow single edged wootz blade with a strong T-section, fluted spine and finely chiseled at the forte. Plain steel bolster with wootz tangband. Ivory grips.Leather covered scabbard with chased brass mounts. Early 19thcentury. Good condition, ivory grips showing some age cracking. Scabbard leather worn with some losses, mounts showing wear. Blade measures 12 ½”, 20” overall. Est.: $800-$900.
