A French style boarding axe with Flintlock pistol, lock marked with proof and initials “I.F”, tang shows inscribed date in fancy letters of “1804”. The metal surfaces show some light to moderate pitting and erosion.A simple belt hook is mounted on left side. The stock is in good condition and the lock is working. The piece measures 21-1/2” overall with an 11-1/2” barrel of approx. 60 cal smooth bore. The quality of mfg. is good and parts show contemporary age but we cannot authenticate it as of the period as it possibly could be 20th century. From an old New York collector’s estate.
