A. Francotte eagle grade 20ga double-barrel shotgun, 26” barrels, nicely engraved frame and sideplates, splinter forend, double triggers, automatic ejectors, straight English style stock, select figured walnutstock. Serial #87278. The gun is choked Open (right) and Improved Cylinder (left), showing 85-95% blue on the barrels evenly thinning and toning with non-ventilated raised rip. The barrels are Von Lengerke and Detmold, New York Agents markings. The frame and plates show 75-85% case hardening drifting to silver with nice scroll and game scene engraving and an American Eagle and shield on the center bottom of frame in gold. Thetriggerguard shows 50-60% thinning original blue. The stocks show a beautiful grain with crisp checkering and have been lightly refinished. The stock measures 14-7/8” to the end of the wood, 15-5/8” to the end of thepad. The action locks tight, the bores are bright. The gun weighs only 5.4lbs. Est: $6,000 - $9,000
