(Simon De Wit, 1930s) An unlicensed Mickey Mouse tin produced by supermarket chain Simon De Wit in the Netherlands. Gestampte Muisjes translates as "crushed mice," but is a traditional anise-seed based bread topping in the Netherlands that dates back to the Middle Ages. Few of these charming containers survive. Measuring 5"x2.5" the tin is in good condition, with oxidation on the bottom and interior, and wear overall, particularly to the top edge.
