(Lounsbery, 1949-1956) A collection of work documents owned by Disney Legend John Lounsbery. One of Walt’s “Nine Old Men” of animation, Lounsberry’s papers include two class schedule cards for the Chouinard with sessions taught by prominent animators, including T. Hee and Fred Moore. Also included are a typed manuscript for a lecture on “the Relationship of Music to Animation” with hand notations, two typed pages of notes from a 1956 conversation with Eric Larson about animation, a pair of animation workshop schedules with participants including Rolly Crump and Don Bluth, a blank “Sleeping Beauty” breakdown form, and many carbon copies of Employee Status forms for an assistant animator, Allen Wilzbach. Measuring from 3” x 5” up to 8.5” x 13”, the papers are in good to very good condition with expected wear and notations from production use.
