(Disney, 1959) A unique leatherbound book of storyboards from Walt Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty.” These original storyboards from early in production were drawn by Disney artist Joe Rinaldi for the scenes of Briar Rose with Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather in the forest cabin with Diablo the raven discovering them. A total of 22 original hand-drawn panels are affixed to four 12.5” x 15.5” animation paper pages, themselves presented within the 16.5” x 20.25” leather-bound book with a gold-embossed “Sleeping Beauty” title and filigrees. The fairy tale storybook presentation is further enhanced with a “Once Upon A Time” page with a color copy image from the film’s distinctive backgrounds, and elaborate endpapers. The panels measure from 1.5” x 3” to 2.75” x 6.75” and are in good condition with wear from production use and age. The 12.5” x 15.5” storyboard pages are in very good condition with light wear from handling and discoloration from age. The 16.5” x 20.25” book is in very good condition, with light scratches and creases from handling.
