(ORINS, 1964-65) An Oak Ridge Institute for Nuclear Studies souvenir Irradiated Dime from the 1964-65 New York World's Fair. The machines dispensed gamma radiation into dimes before dropping the coin into a Geiger tube to demonstrate radioactivity. Measuring .75" in its original 2" paper holder, the coin and souvenir protector are in good condition, with tarnishing and wear from handling and age to the coin.
