7 shot Flintlock Volley-gun signed “Staudeanmayer London” on lock and rib. The gun measures 36-3/4” overall with 20-1/2” barrels of approx. 42 caliber with rifled bores. This type Volley gun is extremelyrare and most known examples are made by H. Nock. This is the only example we know to be made by Stadeanmayer who was a premium London maker. The lock screw is cross threaded and we found the lock in anotherlocation and have tied it to the barrels. The metal surfaces show a gray patina with light to slightly heavy scattered pitting and erosion. The stock is good with some small dings, losses and normal wear. Thecheckering is fairly sharp, the engraving and names on barrel and lock are well defined. All original including small parts. This rare Volley gun needs a restoration.
