Many of these buttons have replaced shanks. / 6 Early 1-piece Artillery buttons of various styles & back marks. / 19 Early 2-piece & 1-piece Eagle “A” & Eagle “I” buttons of various styles & back marks. / 1 Early 2-piece Eagle “R” button with a “TREBLE GILT” back mark. / 1 ME-4 A1 button with a “BEST PLATED LONDON” back mark. / 1 GI-61 button with an “IMPERIAL STANDARD” back mark. / 1 GI-70 B button with a “UNITED STATES” back mark. / 1 Staff button with a “YOUNG SMITH” back mark. / 1 GI-53 R6F button with an obliterated, overstruck back mark. / 1 GI-58 with a “SMITHS” back mark. / 3 Militia Rifles buttons with various back marks. / 1 Ball button with an RMDC “SCOVILL” back mark. CONDITION: buttons are all non-excavated, unless noted above. Many excavated buttons have replaced shanks. Other buttons have their shanks but some may be bent.
