This lot includes 1 Dadley style knife made by Russell & Co Green River Works in the late 19th century. Overall length is 10 3/4" with a 6" blade. The Green River mark is just barely visible. A modern sheath is included. / 1 Small bowie knife measuring 11" overall with a 6 1/2" blade stamped at the ricasso "J RUSSELL & CO GREEN RIVER WORKS". Knife has a 2 1/2" false edge. The hilt has a brass crossguard & ferrule with a 2 piece antler grip. One grip has a German silver escutcheon attached. A leather sheath that appears contemporary to the knife is included. / 1 Small bowie knife measuring 10 1/2" overall with a 6 1/4" blade marked "J RUSSELL & CO GREEN RIVER WORKS". Brass elliptical guard with 2 piece antler grips. No sheath. / 1 Small bowie knife measuring 10 1/4" with a 6" blade marked on the ricasso "J RUSSELL & CO GREEN RIVER WORKS". Nickel silver elliptical crossguard with 2 piece antler grips. No sheath. / 1 Small bowie knife measuring 8 3/4" overall with a 5" blade marked "HIBBARD SPENCER BARTLET & CO ENGLAND" at the ricasso. The flat of the blade near the spine is marked "OVB OUR VERY BEST". Nickel silver elliptical guard with 2 piece antler grip. Leather sheath appears correct for the knife. CONDITION: all knives show use but no abuse and no indication of severe sharpening. Generally, knives show average wear. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of James B. Taylor.
