3:30PM SATURDAY FEATURE 1965 ACADIAN BEAUMONT SPORT DELUXE
1965 BEAUMONT SPORT DELUXE

Beaumont started out as a trim level of the Acadian line and were sold at Pontiac-Buick Dealers primarily for the Canadian market. Starting in 1964, GM of Canada sold an "Acadian Beaumont" based on the Chevelle A-body platform. Many people considered the cars to be Pontiacs, but GM marketed them as a separate make. All model years are primarily Chevrolet, with only minor trim differences and (for Chevelle-based cars) Pontiac-based instrument panels. This is because GM was required to have a certain percentage of Canadian content in the vehicles sold in Canada. The Beaumont became available in four series, with the Beaumont Sport Deluxe identified as the top of the line model. This particular example has been the recipient of a professional rotisserie restoration investing well over $80,000 plus over 1200 restoration hours bringing it back to better than new standards. There were only 798 total Beaumont Sport Deluxe examples produced in 1965, of which only a handful of those were equipped as 2 door hardtops with the performance V8 engine and factory 4-speed transmission. This car is one of those handful of surviving cars! Documented with the GM Canada build sheet and original warranty and owners manuals. Powered with the 327ci L79 appearance V8 engine producing almost 350hp with a M20 4-speed transmission and 10-bolt positraction rear differential. It is further complimented with power steering, power disc brakes, bucket seats, center console, padded dash pad, original AM radio converted to FM, tilt steering, tachometer w/gauges, dual exhaust, vintage torque thrust wheels, complete new tinted glass and much more. It looks, runs and drives better than new with pride of ownership throughout. Unarguably the finest example available in all of today's entire North American market.
