Up for auction is a World War One 1914-1918 War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914-1915 Star Trio named on rim to "10406 A. SJT. W.NICHOLSON. YORKS:L.I." (with slight naming variations) and reverse of 1914-1915 Star:"10406 L/CPL. W.NICHOLSON. YORK. L.I." The Medals have a nice aged patina and good detailing, with the 1914 1918 War Medal having a silver patina. The War Medal Obverse depicts King George V and reverse showing St George on horseback in good detail. The Victory Medal obverse depicts a winged Victory figure holding a palm branch, and the reverse reads "The Great War For Civilization 1914-1919". The 1914 1915 Star Medal in good condition. The 1914-1915 Star has a nice aged patina on front with good detailing, depicting a large star with crossed swords, the date "1914-15" in center and a large Kings Crown on top. All Medals have their original well worn ribbons.

This would be an interesting research, and go well in any World War One Medal Collection.
