SHOT RIFLE WITH FACTORY BOX. Cal. 7x57mm. S# 130-28412. Bbl 22". No. 1 single shot rifle manufactured by Ruger during the 200th year of American Liberty (1976). The barrel is stamped with Ruger's single line adderss over the top, with "MADE IN THE 200th YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY" on and the left, and the caliber designation at the breech. The receiver is marked "RUGER" within a banner above "No. 1". Metal components exhibit a reapplied blued finish. Capped checkered wood pistol grip buttstock with checkered wood forend. Ramped brass beaded front sight with flip-up U-notch rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory cardboard box. CONDITION: very good as refinished, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting scattered areas of mild pitting overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered small spots of what appears to be oxidation, and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture is excellent overall. Box exhibits age related discoloration and moderate exterior wear from storage and handling, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Gun Sport Ltd. owned by Jon R.
