19th century exhibition quality silver and enamel powder flask in Wheelock style showing battle scenes and finely detailed multi color cloisonné on silver with royal crest on back surrounded by cupids in fittedvelveteen and satin jewelry type case. The flask measures 6-1/2” by 4-1/2” approx and remains in fine to excellent condition. The battle scenes are of superb quality with fine detail. This cataloguer has known thisexact flask for nearly 20 years and it has been in two of the finest European arms collections in the nation and we consider it to be one of the best and most beautiful creations by an artist of the 19th centurywho were inspired by the Renaissance masters. In our opinion it would cost over $100,000 to have a master jeweler create this flask at today’s rates and only a very few would be skilled enough to even attempt it.Est.;$25,000-$50,000.
