19th century dagger possibly American with well-made steel guard and mounts with stag horn grip and retaining its original scabbard. The butt is beautifully made and fitted to the stag and is nicely engravedwith the letters G. B. The dagger measures 9 ½ “overall with a 6” blade and the blade is very nicely formed and is almost triangular with a curved clip point for piercing. The guard is nicely shaped. A Moroccan leatherscabbard is included with a period polished steel thick belt hook. Condition overall is very good plus to near fine. A very interesting small dagger that has an American and French look which the product of thecombination could be New Orleans. Est.: $300-$600.
