The lot features two fantastic pieces of early Plains Indian jewelry dating to the 19th Century from the Sundog collection. The first and largest is an iron bracelet showing a unique forged overlapping clasp with hammered engraved ridged design on the inside and outside of the piece. The bracelet also shows three 19th Century wound glass padre trade beads. Second is a solid copper trade ring showing single ridge engravings and a nice green patina. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art in Bozeman which was both part museum and gallery. Ring is a size 9-9 1/2 US. Bracelet is 2.75" by 2 5/8".
