19th Century Osage Skullcracker Stone War Club
This is an interesting skullcracker stone bi-point war club from the Osage Native American Indians of the 19th Century. The piece exhibits a 6-inch-long green painted hard stone, bi-point head on a long, hide-wrapped haft. The haft has a few wraps of old trade clothe and ends in a long, frilly drop of hide fringes that hangs down an additional 17 inches. There is a small wrap of old white trade beads attached at the center of the haft. The club is well kept and is truly a nice example from circa 1880’s from the Dale Harrison collection. Measures 24 inches long overall.
