Rare original British Brunswick percussion rifle dated 1870 with period leather sling. The lock with good military markings crown at back and TOWER 1870. The round barrel with heavy Brunswick bayonet lug. Two leaf rear sight and square front sight. British regulation brass mounts and large brass patchbox with compartments for tools. Condition is well used, metal with some pitting, wood with typical military used dents and chips but overall sound. Rifle designed for the Brunswick belted ball. Rifle even has its original ramrod chipped at end. This is the rare full dimension British made Brunswick rifle and not a recent Nepalese import from IMA. Estimate: 800-1200
