Colt Model 1905 .45 A.C.P. Semi-Auto pistol S/N 4298 originally shipped to George Worthington & Co., Cleveland, Ohio, Jan 12, 1910, 1 gun in shipment. Also showing 2 ordnance stamps on right side of frame above trigger and stamped F.N.C. The stamping shows crossed cannons with flaming bomb with cascabels on cannon (Refer article “Man at Arms” magazine included discussing this type marking on Colt pistols Feb 1995). The author discussed dual ordnance stampings on 1917 revolvers and a Colt .380 converted to .32. This type markings is found on Colt .25, .32, and .380 pistols made after 1940 usually with no other inspector’s markings. This Colt remains in very good plus condition with 75%-85% bright original commercial blue finish remaining showing even loss and patina at areas of gripping and muzzle. Sharp markings. Bright blue on trigger and most case colors on hammer. Good plus overall with correct magazine. The grips are also good with slight wear at buttons from carry and use. A very interesting 1905 with intriguing F.N.C. stamp and ordnance markings indicating
