The Following Collection of 5 Pistols were the Property of Sheriff O.C. Williams of Holbrook, Arizona, circa 1920-1930's. The Following History on each was taken from Family Notations. A signed Letter of Provenance from Sonia A. Williams is included with each pistol. Colt .41 cal. Model 1895 factory nickel finish, 4 1/2" barrel, hard rubber grips, #146542. 50-70% original nickel (uncleaned) with some minor rust and erosion. Good markings and good grips. Bore somewhat worn. Action tight. This exact revolver war carried by "Killer" Jack Sullivan of the Sullivan Gang. Sullivan shot Sheriff Maxwell in the face with this gun and the pistol was taken as a trophy by Sheriff Williams when they captured the gang. Letter of provenance from Sheriff Williams descendants.
