French 1st Empire Napleonic era Officer’s sword with ornate 3 brass guard, blued and gilt blade and matching fancy mounted brass scabbard. The blade retains 50%-70% original blue and gold gilt. The ornate wire wrapped over leather grip is good with normal aging and cracking. The scabbard shows some dents and dings with light cleaning. Makers “Leaf” type proof at rear top of blade where meets hilt but otherwise unsigned. Est.: $1000-$2000
