Colt Model 1860 Army revolver in .44 caliber percussion, S/N 131257 with original flap holster. The Army remains in original very good condition with 30%-50% original blue on the barrel with some minor light rust and pinprick pitting. Good sharp barrel address and minor scratches and dings by wedge. 75%-85% original and colorful case hardening on frame. 50%-70% on loading lever with traces on hammer. Cylinder shows 70%-80% scene with refined Colt’s patent and engagement dates. Cylinder has gone to gray metal. All matching visible serial numbers. The barrel shows “D” inspection as does the cylinder. “H” on backstrap, trigger guard, and bottom of left grip. The grips have been rubbed or cleaned very slightly and at least very good. Tight and very well preserved. An unmarked Civil War era flap holster is included. From the collection of Dr. Cairns and in storage for decades. (Antique) Est.: $3000-$6000
