Colt Root Model 5A in .31 caliber percussion with a 4 ½” barrel, fluted cylinder, S/N 2471. All matching numbers. Contained in original “Hartford” style case with accessories showing rounded corners. This Root remains in near fine original condition wih 75%-85% bright and “inky” blue finish, drifting on back strap and cylinder. 80%-90% bright case hardening on the hammer and lever. Sharp and crisp overall with tight action. Almost fine grips with 90% plus original varnish just slight wear and a few minor marks. A peacock flask in near fine condition, .31 caliber iron mold, rod, cap tin and key included. Case is very good plus with minor fading, small tears to material and normal aging.
