This 1995 Canada Proof Double Dollar Set was issued by the Canadian Mint to commemorate the 325th anniversary of the establishment of the Hudson's Bay Company. The Canadian department store has a rich history that began in England with Medard Chouart and Pierre-Esprit Radisson, who led a trading expedition from England to the New World via Hudson Bay in 1668. The set is highlighted by the $1 Hudson's Bay Company 325th anniversary silver dollar coin. Presented in a burgundy box the coins are complemented by a white satin interior.
