Persons attend the auction at their own risk and neither the vendor nor the auction will be individually or collectively responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever occasioned to any personal property which may be present on the auction site or premises for any purpose whatsoever.
General conditions of sale
1) The highest bidder shall be the purchaser. If any dispute arises between the bidders, the Auctioneers may at their discretion decide the dispute OR immediately put up and re-offer for sale the lot or lots in dispute. In either event the decision of the Auctioneer shall be final and binding.
2) All lots must be paid for by 2pm GMT on Wednesday June 15th and must be removed no later than specified in Point 5. Failure to pay by the specified deadline shall result in forfeiture of deposit.
3) Whilst all descriptions and images featured online, in hard copy catalogues and projected at the auction have been prepared in good faith and believed to be correct their accuracy is not guaranteed. Purchasers who bid online do so entirely at their own risk. John Pye & Sons and Jackson Phillips accept no liability for the condition of assets purchased.
4) VAT will only be refunded by John Pye & Sons when a Bill of Lading is produced by the purchaser detailing cargo purchased and shipped.
5) All assets purchased must be cleared from the premises of Ronaldsway Shoe Company Ltd by 12pm on Tuesday June 21st, 2005 (unless arrangements have been made and confirmed in writing by John Pye & Sons and/or Jackson Phillips). Purchased assets left on-site beyond this date shall be subject to a storage charge of £4 per sq. ft. per week.
6) In the event of any lot or lots not being paid for on the day of sale or not being removed in the period allowed, the auctioneer shall immediately thereafter be at liberty to rescind the contract and without notice to the purchaser to resell such lot or lots by public or private sale.
