Featured in this lot is this framed chromolithograph by Montana artist Gary Carter (born 1939), from the 1990 original, and called "When Push Comes to Shove." The artwork features a scene of a group of mounted men with pack animals, watching two elk fight on a snow-covered pass. The artist’s signature can be seen in the bottom right-hand corner. The artwork is numbered 735/ 850 and includes a Certificate of Authenticity and Registration paperwork and the artist's commentary attached to the back of the chromolithograph. Gary Carter is a Yellowstone, Montana artist and was inducted into the Cowboy Artist of American (CAA Member) in 1982. Gary Carter was also adopted into the Crow Tribe and Real Bird Family and made a member of the Big Lodge Clan, given the name of “Eagle Man”. The lithograph was produced by Ultracolor in El Segundo, California as an offset lithograph using a photomechanical process. The condition of this framed chromolithograph is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this framed chromolithograph are 30 3/4" x 43 3/8" and the visible art measures 19 1/2" x 33".
