1984 LA Olympic Japanese Woman's Ceremonial Costume Drawing & Official Program
The Games of the XXII Olympiad, better known as the 1984 Summer Olympics, held in Los Angeles, are considered to be one of the most popular, best attended, and most successful in modern Olympic history. This was due in part to herculean planning, and the use of the top local talent available in all departments. This is a rare collectable, and a great example of the kind of work created for this legendary event. An exquisite original full color drawing for a Ceremonial Japanese Woman's costume, used for the spectacular International Parade of 140 Nations at the eye-popping Opening Ceremonies. It was created by costume designer Pamala. It also includes a mint condition copy of the actual official 1984 LA Olympic Program. The Japanese Costume Drawing is 15"x20", and the program is 8.5" x 11". Acquired by one of the officials who worked on the 1984 Olympics.
