Dan Marino played college ball at the University of Pittsburgh from the 1979 to 1982 season. In four seasons completed 693 of 1,204 for 8,597 yards, 79 TDs and 69 INTs. He is the record-holder in passing yards for a single-season (2,876 in 1981) and college career (8,597); in passes attempted and completed for season (226 of 380 in 1981) and career (693 of 1,204), and in TD passes for season (37 in 1981) and career (79), in addition to being the university's all-time total offense leader with 8,290 yards, Marino had his Pittsburgh jersey retired and finished his college career ranked on the NCAA all-time lists as fifth in passing yardage, fourth in completions and fourth in TD passes. During his college career, the Panthers made four bowl appearances: Fiesta, Gator, Sugar and Cotton. On the bottom left tail of this jersey is the "Russell Athletic" size "M" wash instructions tag. On the front and back of the jersey is the player number "13" in blue on yellow vinyl lettering.
