1969-1972 Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates Game-Used Bat (PSA/DNA)
Although not an immediate superstar, Roberto Clemente's brilliant fielding ability and rifle arm were apparent from the beginning, eventually earning him 12 Gold Gloves as a right fielder. Beginning in 1960, his sixth year in the Majors, Clemente began a streak of eight consecutive seasons in which he batted no less than .312 and made the first of his 14 All-Star appearances; he hit safely in every game of the World Series against the Yankees, batting .310. He went on to win four batting titles, his last being his best with a .357 average in 1967. Tragically, Clemente perished in a 1972 plane crash while delivering relief supplies to earthquake victims in Nicaragua. The five-year mandatory waiting period for Hall of Fame eligibility was waived and Clemente was inducted in 1973. Manuf: H&B, Model: U1, Length: 36 in, Weight: 37 oz, Wood: Ash, Condition: Uncracked.
