Shelby GT500 re-creation built by Rods by Rusty in Indian Wells, CA. This car started life as an "S" Code 390 4-speed with factory air. It was stored for 18 years in the California desert. The rust-free body was completely disassembled and media blasted, then hand-fitted with Shelby Licensed body parts. Painted silver with Guardsman Blue LeMans stripes and 4 coats of hand-rubbed clear coat. The car was then fitted with a 428cid FE Engine built by The Engine Factory in New Jersey which features matched Edelbrock timing and top end, and Concept-One pulleys. Other features include a McLeod 12" hydraulic clutch, Tremec TKO 600 5-speed transmission, Currie 9" 3.50 limited slip rear gear, Total Control rack pinion steering, Grab Trac suspension and brakes from Mustang Plus, with Under Rider traction bars and sub-frame connectors. Shelby specific parts are from Tony Branda Shelby in Altoona, PA. Also has Carlite NOS glass, Old Air Products 134 air conditioning system, Carroll Shelby Signature gauges from Classic Instruments and custom seats by Scott Drake Co.
