Along with the 1955-56 Quaker Oats set, the 1966-67 Topps USA Test ranks at the top of the list of most limited printings of the 6-team NHL, post WW2 hobby. Printed late in the 66-67 season and apparently due to the popularity of the league's rookie sensation, Bobby Orr, Topps ran a very low print run that was restricted in it's geographical distribution. To this point Topps printed their cards in Canada. After this test, beginning in 1968, Topps would print their own sets while O-Pee-Chee, under license from Topps, printed and distributed in Canada. Here's a high grade example of HOFer Harry Howell's Test card, graded 7 NM (MC) by PSA. Note: this set is notorious for off-center and mc cards, perhaps quality control lacked as it was only a "test" set, but it is not uncommon to find oc and mc cards and many showing a white border on one side.
