Offered to you in this lot is a circa 1952 Rock-Ola Model 1538 Wallbox Selector. These wall boxes would be either mounted to the wall, or sat on the table at your personal diner booth - Insert 5¢/10¢/25¢ to select any of the twenty tracks available. These wall boxes in particular would be matched with a Model 1432 "Rocket" jukebox, typically stored in the rear of the establishment. The face of the wall box is marked from top to bottom with; "5¢/10¢/25¢ - Rock-Ola - Model 1538 - Patents Pending - 5¢/10¢/25¢ - 1. Deposit Nickels - Dimes or Quarters - 2. Make Selections - Push Button Firmly - A Product of ROCK-OLA Manufacturing Corporation - Chicago, ILL.". The wall box shows an aluminum case construction, with vibrant clear red selector buttons. The wall box is complete with its original key, and cash tray. Overall, the piece shows good condition - with only slight pitting, and scattered patina. The machine measures 11 1/4" tall, 9 1/8" wide, and 4 1/4" deep.
