Up for auction is a World War One 1914-1918 War Medal and Victory Medal pair named on rim to "429125 PTE. S: J.A. MC CLURE. 7-CAN. INF.". Both Medals have a nice aged patina and good detailing, with the 1914 1918 War Medal having a silver patina. The War Medal Obverse depicts King George V and reverse showing St George on horseback in good detail. The Victory Medal obverse depicts a winged Victory figure holding a palm branch, and the reverse reads "The Great War For Civilization 1914-1919". Both medals have their original well worn ribbons.
Samuel James Angus Mcclure was born April 27th 1887 in Churchville Ontario. He was a Carpenter by trade, previously serving in the 6th Duke of Connaught's Own Rifles. He enlisted in New Westminster British Columbia on March 13th 1915. Tragically, he was Killed in Action September 27th 1915 while serving with the 47th CEF (British Columbia.)
A World War One Medal pair to a Soldier of the 7th Battalion (1st British Columbia), CEF, This would go well in any Canadian Medal Collection and is a tragic reminder of the First World War.

Shipping is at the responsibility of the buyer. Small Items will be shipped by Canada Post after items have been verified.
Larger items (larger than parcel size) will be shipped by the freight line determined by the buyer of the assets. all shipping arrangements must be made with in 24 hours of auction and all assets MUST be picked up or shipped with in 72 hours of online auction finish time. all shipping costs will be charged to the buyer or charged collect.
Kastner Auctions does not ship any alcoholic items(lots).
-All items need to be picked up within 5 days of purchase.
-All items left after that time are subject to a $6 per day per item storage fee.
-All items left for 21 days or longer are considered forfeited.

Payment Details:
All Items must be paid for with in 24 hours of the auction. Orders over $3500 must be paid by etransfer, bank draft, in person debit card, or be subject to additional credit card fees
All vehicle purchased must be paid by cash, debit, or bank draft. A maximum of $1000 deposit can be put on your credit card.
Vehicle Payment Terms:
1.Vehicles are charged a maximum of $1995 buyers premium.
2.Vehicle purchases over $3500 will be paid by debit, cash or bank draft Only, (credit card payments will not be accepted over this amount)
-All items need to be picked up within 5 days of purchase.
-All items left after that time are subject to a $6 per day per item storage fee.

Accepted Payment Methods:
All Auctions will be subject to a 17.5% Buyer's Premium unless otherwise noted. Certain items may also be subject to handling, packaging, palletizing, or shipping preparation fees (for example, glassware requiring packing or artwork requiring wrapping). Shipping preferences are selected at the time of registration. No additional contact is required on the part of the buyer.
Online bidding during the Live Auction is a fast process, and therefore there is no confirmation given. Bids will be accepted immediately upon submission and are final, binding, and irrevocable.
The highest bidder shall be the purchaser upon the completion of bid verification. Bid verification will commence upon the conclusion of the live auction and may take up to 24 hours. All successful bidders will be notified by email within the 24-hour bid verification period.
No bidder shall retract or withdraw a bid. In the event of a dispute between two or more bidders, the Auctioneer, at his sole discretion, may determine the successful bidder or reopen the bidding for the lot.
A bidder is deemed to have accepted an item upon placing a bid.
The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot at any time prior to the sale of such lot.
The Auctioneer reserves the right not to accept any bid that is only a partial advance over the preceding bid.
The Auctioneer may combine, divide, or regroup any lot or lots at his sole discretion.
Kastner Auctions Ltd. assumes no responsibility or liability once a bid has been accepted. Purchasers are encouraged to obtain insurance coverage for their purchases prior to removal.
Except as expressly set out herein, there are no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, statutory or otherwise, regarding any item offered for sale.
Please take advantage of the in-person preview, as all items are sold "AS IS, WHERE IS." No sale shall be invalidated due to any defect, error, omission, or inaccuracy in any description, photograph, listing, or representation, and Kastner Auctions Ltd. shall not be liable for any such errors. All sales are final.
Attendance at the auction, preview, inspection, or removal by bidders, purchasers, guests, or contractors is entirely at their own risk. Kastner Auctions Ltd. assumes no liability whatsoever for personal injury, death, or property damage occurring on the auction premises.
PAYMENT
All invoices may be charged to the registered credit card unless alternative payment arrangements have been approved by Kastner Auctions Ltd.

Applicable GST and all other applicable taxes will be added to the purchase price.
The purchaser is not entitled to possession of any item until payment has been received in full. If payment is not made within the prescribed time, Kastner Auctions Ltd. reserves the right to resell the property without notice. Any deficiency resulting from the resale, together with commissions, storage fees, legal fees, collection costs, and any related expenses, shall remain the responsibility of the defaulting purchaser.
All costs and responsibilities associated with dismantling, loading, securing, transporting, and removing purchased items shall be borne solely by the purchaser. Kastner Auctions Ltd. shall not provide refunds where additional expenses are incurred by the purchaser for any reason. Proof of insurance may be required before certain items are released.
Any lots not removed within the prescribed removal period shall be subject to storage, moving, disposal, and service charges at the purchaser's sole risk and expense. The purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Kastner Auctions Ltd. and the consignor from any damages arising from the removal or failure to remove purchased property.
Lots not removed within the prescribed period may be considered abandoned and may be resold or otherwise disposed of to recover outstanding charges. The purchaser shall remain liable for any storage fees, disposal costs, damages, rent, or other expenses incurred.
If, for any reason, Kastner Auctions Ltd. is unable to deliver any awarded lot or clear title thereto, the sole liability of Kastner Auctions Ltd. shall be limited to the refund of monies actually paid for that lot.
It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to remove all purchases within the prescribed removal period. Kastner Auctions Ltd. does not provide delivery, transportation, or shipping services for live auction purchases unless specifically stated otherwise.
VEHICLE TERMS
Unless otherwise stated in the lot description, the following terms apply to all vehicle purchases:

ALL VEHICLES ARE SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS.
BUYER'S PREMIUM IS 10% TO A MAXIMUM OF $1,995.00.
KASTNER AUCTIONS LTD. DOES NOT PROVIDE MECHANICAL INSPECTIONS.
LIEN DISCHARGE WILL BE AVAILABLE 21 DAYS AFTER PAYMENT IS MADE TO KASTNER AUCTIONS LTD. TITLE TRANSFER IS SUBJECT TO DISCHARGE OF ANY EXISTING LIENS. SALE PROCEEDS MAY BE USED TO SATISFY OUTSTANDING LIENS, AND CLEAR TITLE WILL BE PROVIDED UPON DISCHARGE.
PICK-UP DEADLINES
All items must be picked up within five (5) days of purchase unless otherwise stated.
Items remaining after the prescribed pick-up period are subject to a $21.00 per day, per item storage fee.
Items remaining for 21 days or longer shall be considered abandoned and forfeited.
No refunds, credits, or compensation will be issued for abandoned or forfeited items.

By registering for and participating in this auction, each bidder acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
