Background on set:
Worldwide celebrations for Victory in Europe spanned the week of May 8, 1945. In England King George VI and his family, along with Winston Churchill, saluted thousands from the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Time Squares, New York, saw the largest daytime gathering of people in its history while thousands of women hugged and kissed elated servicemen. In the days leading up to victory, many cities in Canada planned for celebrations. Sixty years later, revisit that pivotal moment in history with this special collectible set that recaptures the spirit of that wartime era.
