The company, originally Monroe Drug Company in 1890, became Putnam Fadeless Dyes in 1895 after the radical success of employee J. Hugh Elson's new dyes product. The unmistakable logo featuring General Isreal Putnam aided in the company's success. This display is in good condition for age and measures 19" L x 15" T x 5.75" D.
