1920 commercial Luger in .30 caliber showing commercial crown “N” proof, serial number 94 with “O” suffix on the frame. Silver inlaid in German style with magnificent carved in high relief deluxe wood grips. The small parts show militarytype serial number and the sear safety is also numbered which is unusual for a commercial model. The grips show Habsburg style Eagle with portraits of Grecian ladies on each side. The quality and style of the silver inlay is definitely whatwould’ve been available in Germany at the time this pistol was made. The bore is excellent and all visible serial numbers match except clip which is of the 2nd World War era. Approximately 98% of an old refinish remains from time of engravingand inlay. The bore is excellent. The quality of the carving on the grips is stunning and is similar to a pair that were on another Luger presented to an American General by Albert Krupp after the 2nd World War that we viewed more then30 years ago and never forgot the grips. Est.: $2000-$4000
