Chamber dated 1918 and DWM monogram on toggle, with three crown/script letter proofs and Imperial eagle firing proof on the right side of the barrel extension with the firing proof repeated on the upper right rear of the barrel and on the left side of the breechblock. Properly marked safety area and extractor. Visible numbers on pistol match. The front strap is marked "P.D.G. 54", (the "P" is for [police schools). Sear safety, cut-out for magazine safety, plated magazine with wooden base renumbered to match (original serial number struck) and fitted with un-numbered checkered walnut grips.

Condition: Arsenal rework with 75% plus blue finish remaining. There is some muzzle wear and a small amount of minor pitting under the finish on the barrel. Overall there is some high point wear, some scattered minor thinning and some minor dings. The small parts have a smooth silver gray patina with strong straw color in protected areas. The grips are good with some moderate wear on the lower edges, a few minor bruises and overall crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
