The top of the chamber is dated 1915 and the toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three crown over Gothic letter proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof, and the left side has the four digit serial number. The bottom of the barrel has the correct four digit serial number along with the letter suffix and the bore diameter of "8,82" and the top right rear is marked with the Imperial Eagle. Visible numbers match except the magazine. Correctly marked "GESICHERT and GELADEN" on the safety and extractor respectively. Fixed sights, blue finish with straw colored small parts, unmarked nickel magazine with repaired wooden base and fitted with un-numbered checkered walnut grips.
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 3139f
Condition: Fine as partially refinished (front frame rails). The balance of the pistol retains 70% of the faded original blue finish with muzzle and high edge wear, some thinning and scattered light spotting. There is some minor pitting on the muzzle, frame rails and side plate. The small parts show 20% of their original straw colors, mixed with a smooth mottled gray patina. The grips are good with some heavy wear present on the right panel, a few minor dings and for the most part crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
