For your consideration is this original Northern Pacific Railway "Wonderland 1906" souvenir album. The album encompasses Yellowstone National Park, Bitterroot Mountains, Columbia River, Pacific Northwest Coast and Alaska. There are numerous photographs throughout and a large map of the US indicating Northern Pacific Railway routes as well. The album was made to promote travel to the two parks by way of the Great Northern Railway. The GN ran from Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Seattle, Washington, it was the creation of 19th-century railroad entrepreneur James J. Hill and was developed from the Saint Paul & Pacific Railroad. The Great Northern's route was the northernmost transcontinental railroad route in the U.S. The wine coloured paper front cover of the book displays two illustrations, a coloured illustration of Yellowstone Falls with the second depicting a bear walking through a grassy field. "Wonderland 1906" is written in green lettering. Back cover features the the logo, "Northern Pacific Yellowstone Park Line". This souvenir album is in fair to good condition, age tanning, mildew and foxing observed throughout. Loose spine. Measures 6.75"W x 9.75"L
