18th to 19th century Swagger-stick with cast bronze head of lion, nicely carved horn body. The body measures 28-1/2” overall, the head measures 2-1/2” and is heavy cast brass or bronze with a dark patina. The top half isvery nicely carved in a circular design. The tip is missing and the forward 1” shows some slight deterioration from being under the metal tip. Used by officer’s as a sign of rank and also could be used as a weapon toget those recruits moving. Est: $350 - $700
