Savage Model 99 Takedown lever action rifle, .300 Savage caliber, Serial #366936. The rifle is in fine overall condition with a 24” round barrel with a ramped blade front sight and standard rear sight. The metal surfaces retain the majority of their blue finish with small mars on the barrel. The receiver shows thinning of the finish on the underside and several small scratches. The rifle features the brass shell counter and shows beautiful, vivid case hardening on the lever, particularly on the protected portion of the assembly. The checkered wood stocks are in very good condition with the fore end serialized to the rifle. The butt stock features a pistol grip and ends with a Savage marked steel butt plate. The bore is very good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable Savage manufactured in 1938. Est.: $400-$800. (C+R).
