The carbine is in good to nearly very good condition with a 22” barrel with a post front and military tangent rear sights. Thebarrel retains a significant amount of muted blue finish with areas of light surface rust. The side plate is marked, “U.S. SPRINGFIELD” and features the eagle emblem. The smooth wood stock is an arsenalreplacement in very good condition with a cartouche at the rear of the action and rack numbers on the butt stock. The stock retains the saddle bar and ring, barrel band and smooth steel butt plate with trap. The boreis fair, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable Springfield trapdoor.
