1870s to early 1880s era kepi from Indian war era in good condition showing just some slight normal aging with good brim, good sweatband, and interior. The sweatband show some losses of stitching but is intact. Thekepi shows an infantry type badge with crossed rifles and unit numerals 2 D. The kepi retains a braided cord and two Eagle buttons.
